About Skiing in Korea
Korea has excellent ski resorts, mostly located in Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do, accessible within 1-3 hours from Seoul. The ski season typically runs from mid-December to late February.
Most resorts offer comprehensive rental packages for skis, snowboards, and winter clothing. Note that goggles and gloves are usually not included in clothing rentals and must be purchased or brought from home.
Quick answers
Do I need to rent goggles and gloves?
Ski resorts generally do not rent gloves and goggles for hygiene reasons. You should buy them in advance or at the resort shops.
Are lift passes valid all day?
Lift passes are usually divided into time slots (e.g., Morning, Afternoon, Night) or sold as half-day/full-day passes. The estimated price is for a standard full-day pass.
